The Alliance for Okeogun Development, AOD National Coordinator and Youth Advocates For Peace Justice and Empowerment, Engr Otunba Fasasi Rafiu Abiodun has described the Nigerian youth as the nation’s untapped most valuable assets that have the potential and capacity to rewrite the ugly story of the once-revered giant of Africa.
In a press statement made by Otunba Fasasi, revealed that the role of the youth in nation-building is too relevant to be jettisoned as they serve as the backbone in the society which they can make or mar a nation based on what is programmed in them.
He stated that the youth are the engine room of every nation and the similitude of the importance of youth to nation-building could be likened to a car engine, without which, vehicles can’t move, as a nation cannot thrive without its youth. He equally reaffirmed that the youth are likened to a feedback system because if they are well equipped and garnished with the best available resources, they give a positive outcome, but if otherwise, the negative outcome should be expected.
